Why We Didn’t Make It To Jollibee.

Jollibee is the Filipino version of KFC or “the McDonalds of the Philippines “, and they are very few Jollibee Locations in the state of Florida, two to be exact! A new one opened up Near Tampa, and I wanted to take my husband Michael to it. But asked if we could make a side trip along the way, which he agreed to. Stupid me wanted to do the side trip first, big mistake! Always make the husband happy first! A full belly of Chickenjoy, Jolly Spaghetti, Peach Mango Pie and a stash of it to take home for later will go a long way when you make mistakes!

The address for the side trip was a private rd that was not in Google, Maps or Waze. I was instead given an address close to it and told not to use a GPS because it never gets it right. Who did I listen to.. the GPS which took us way out of our way to nowhere. So our nice ride to Jollibee became a ride of upset because my side trip got us lost and wasting time.

Giving up, I decided to end the side trip and go to Jollibee, but by then, the damage was done, and Michael didn’t care anymore. He wanted to go back home. Trying as I could to say “I was sorry” nothing worked.

The current situation, I am in the cat house!

So I am out of the cat house! We ended up going to Jollibee!

I made sure to get my husband Michael A belly full of Chickenjoy, Jolly Spaghetti and we can’t forget the gravy! No side trips, and he didn’t even have to look at the menu! Filipinos are obsessed with Jollibee! We did go to the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa, FL afterward, where we lost our gambling money, a whole $50. Such high rollers!

As a side note, what the Filipino Community sees in Jollibee, I don’t know, Filipinos are obsessed with Jollibee! If I had the money, I would open one in Orlando. One store alone would outdo a couple of McDonald’s franchises. Does anyone want to give me a loan?
